I welcome the opportunity to assist you in your preparation of becoming an AP* Psychology instructor!
Twenty years of experienced AP* Psychology teaching have taught me much of what to convey to beginning teachers of AP* Psychology. After starting with a 35% passing rate in my first year, major changes were made and subsequent further refinements have helped produce passing rates as high as 95%.
I have twenty years of AP* Psychology teaching experience at Griffin HS, (Griffin, GA) and at South Forsyth (Cumming, GA) HS. both in the metro Atlanta area. In teaching the course on both the block and yearlong format, I believe that I will be able to advise both audiences. I have been recognized as STAR teacher at each school. During the school year I conduct one day workshops for the College Board in Atlanta, Florida, Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina. During the summers I have conducted one week Summer Institutes in the teaching of AP* Psychology in Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Bowling Green, KY and Maryville, TN on multiple occasions. I have served as an AP* reader since 1997 . I earned my BS degree in Behavioral Science from Berry College and my MED and EDS degrees from Georgia State University.
